Vatican Museums
You haven't seen Rome if you haven't visited Vatican City. The museums of this little but gorgeous city has 54 galleries, four statue museums included: Muso Pio-Clementino, Museo Chiaramonti, Museo Gregoriano, Etrusco and Museo Gegoriano Egiziano. These museums are the home of some of the most famous art works of the world, with artists such as: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Raphael, and Giotto.
The Sistine Chapel
The 54th gallery of Vatican City is the known Sistine Chapel. Completed in 1483, the Sistine Chapel is without any doubt the most famous chapel in the world thanks to the artworks whitin. Look at the popular frescoes such as the fresco on the ceiling and the Final Judgement painted by Michelangelo. Not only holds the Sistine Chapel the most beautiful artworks of the world, it is still used for religious events such as the Papal Conclave - the process where a new pope is chosen.
St- Peter's Basilica
The St-Peter's Basilica is one of the largest in the whole world and is a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture.
Vital information
The tour is only available in French on Saturdays from 1st November to 31st March.
On Wednesdays the Basilica is not available to visit due to the Papal audience. The Basilica is an active place of worship and may be closed without prior notice for religious events. In this case the visit to the Basilica will be replaced by a visit to the Vatican library.

The visit to Vatican City is not dependent on the weather.
Session length
Visiting Vatican City will take approximately 3,5 hours. The meeting place is at the Piazza del Risorgimento at the Bar Caggetteria L'Ottagono, 400 metres from the closest metro stop Ottaviano. The tour starts at 8:30 am or 11:00 am and ends at the St. Peter's Square.

What to wear
Please note that you visit religious sights. Wear suitable clothes: sleeveless blouses, mini skirts, shorts and hats are not allowed.
