The experience
Barcelona, where history and traditions go hand in glove with the upcoming fashion and new trends in the kitchen, culture and art. The tour begins with taking the bus that will bring you to the elegant Passeig de Gràcia, where you can view the famous houses of Gaudi, namely Casa Battlo and La Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera.
Next you are brought to the see where you get the possibility to admire the intense changes that the city has undergone with the organising of the Olympic Games in 1992. You drive next to the Olympic City, the Olympic Harbour, the beach and the fish district ( also known as Barceloneta), Port Vell, Plaza de Colon with the famous statue of Colombus who points at the direction where he sailed towards America. Once you are at the statue, you are at the beginning of the Ramblas of Barcelona.
The tour continuous to Montjuïc, where you will enjoy a cable ride whereby you get an amazing view of the city. The bus picks you up at the last station and goes further towards the sport facilities that were built in 1992 for the Olympic Games: the Lluis Company stadium, the Palau Sant Jordi, the Olympic pool Picornell and eventually the Spanish City. At this charming place you will admire a collection of traditional building acros Spain.
After the Spanish City, you will return to the center. During this drive you can admire the Venetian Towers, the Montjuïc fountain, the MNAC, the CC and Las Arenas. Back in the center you arrive at Plaza de Catalunya. A guide will take you to the Gotic cathedral by going through the small streets of the Gotic district and to the Plaza Sant Jaume where the City Hall and the headquarters of the Catalan government stand. The tour stops at the Plaza de Catalunya.
