Make Your Own Salami:  

The experience

Make your own Italian salami without preservatives and artificial flavors! Upon arrival at the hotel you can enjoy a multi-course dinner in the house. Many products are manufactured by Gianni and his team, even the wine comes from their own production. After a quiet and restful night's sleep and a leisurely breakfast, the group goes to Salumeria Sassilat in Fossalta. There you will be equipped with protective clothing and then given a tour of the operation. A few years back, Antonella and Aurelio began a product line that does entirely without the usual additives. In addition, the family grows their own animals under good conditions. Thus, for example, the pigs are slaughtered after about 14 months, and not as usual after just seven or eight. A difference you can taste! Then you can produce your own salami. In the lunchbrak you will be spoiled with all kinds of meat, aand the wine that goes with it. In the afternoon, the creations are ready for maturing. This takes at least four weeks, according to law, otherwise the salami must not be sold in trade. However, you then have the rare opportunity to taste sausages, which only spent a week of  maturation. In the evening fish is on the menu. We visit one of the few restaurants in Caorle, which serves fish from the sea infront of the house. After dinner the group visits an Enoteca, where regional wine can be tasted. The next day the group visits then the small winery Valent, which is known for its very wholesome Sauvignon Improvviso before you travel home.
